Se jugaba el último encuentro de la fecha 23 de la Liga Profesional pero el fútbol pasó a un segundo plano cuando el accionar policial empañó todo. A los 9 minutos se suspendió el encuentro entre el Lobo y el Xeneize, en el Bosque, y la traumática situación se trasladó a las calles.
Cuando Hernán Mastrángelo paró la contienda, ya era tarde. Los gases lacrimógenos invadieron el Juan Carmelo Zerillo. Jugadores de Gimnasia La Plata y Boca Juniors caminaron hacia los vestuarios llorando, tosiendo, tratando de ayudar mientras la peor parte la llevaban los espectadores.
Puertas cerradas que pudieron generar una tragedia y represión policial continuó a este suceso del cual se desconocen los motivos exactos. Hay quienes dicen que se vendieron entradas de más aunque el presidente del Tripero manifestó que ello no sucedió. El resto apunta a los organismos de seguridad que manejó mal el operativo.
Con el juego suspendido, los encargados del orden continuaron con el desorden. Un camarógrafo de TyC Sports recibió tres impactos de bala de goma. Un menor de edad perdió la vista por este motivo. Un hombre llegó al hospital con problemas respiratorios por los gases y terminó muriendo horas más tarde.
Las imágenes del encuentro suspendido hablaron por sí solas. El fútbol argentino ya venía en una situación complicada pero esto fue el punto final. Pasó el jueves negro y el viernes, de no tener medidas drásticas, será más oscuro aún.
